How to Avoid Holiday Stress

The holidays can be a stressful time of year, with pressures to find the perfect gifts, decorate your home, and cook for friends and family. This should be a joyful time, enjoying company, celebrating, and reflecting on the year! Here at EnduraQ, we believe that mental health is just as important as physical health! 1. Reach Out

If you are feeling alone, seek out friends, family, or community. Get involved and make yourself busy with events. Volunteering is a great way to get involved and use your time wisely.

2. Be Realistic

Don't set your expectations too high. Nothing is perfect or ever turns out exactly how you plan it, so be realistic in your expectations.

3. Plan Ahead

Make a calendar for what you need to do. Spread out your events and set aside time for shopping, baking, or spending time with friends. Planning ahead will make the holidays less overwhelming.

4. Learn to Say No

It's okay to say no sometimes. Overcommitting yourself will only make you more stressed and anxious. Your friends will understand if you can't make it to every event.

5. Don't Abandon Healthy Habits

Just because the holidays are here doesn't mean you have to go overboard. Eat a healthy snack before parties to avoid overeating sweets.
