International research has shown EnduraQ helps reduce allergy symptoms. Two separate studies gave one group of people 100mg of enzymatically modified isoquercitrin (EMIQ) twice daily over the course of 8 weeks. During the entire study period, eye symptoms (itchy, red, watery, congested eyes) for the EMIQ group were significantly lower than that of the placebo group. In addition, total symptom score (nasal symptoms, nasal obstruction, watery eyes, and ocular congestion symptoms) for the EMIQ group was significantly lower than that of the placebo group
In the second study, the researchers investigated the preventive effect of EMIQ on the same allergies observed in the first study. Four weeks prior to the onset of allergy season (pollen release), 24 subjects took 100mg of EMIQ or a placebo for 8 weeks. As with the first study, subjective symptoms and activities of daily living (ADL) scores were recorded every day, and the quality of life (QOL) score was obtained every 4 weeks. During this study, participants were allowed to take anti-allergic drugs, depending on the severity of symptoms, but the usage of these drugs was recorded daily. Blood sampling was performed before and after the study to measure serum levels of flavonoids and IgE.
During the entire study period, ocular symptoms (itchy, red, watery, congested eyes) and allergy medication scores for the EMIQ group were significantly lower than that of the placebo group. Not only was the EMIQ group able to use less allergy medication, they still experienced less symptoms than the placebo group. Based on these studies, the researchers were able to conclude that intake of EMIQ is effective for the relief of seasonal allergies.
